Finley - Nadia/Silas 2014

Good Morning Stephanie and Rhonda,

Just a quick update on Finley.  She has settled in nicely and has nearly mastered the art house training.  She still is quite the snuggler and if you are on the ground with her, she is on your lap!  While her attention span is still quite short she works hard during our training sessions, sitting before walking out the door and she does well with sit and down.  If we have limited distractions she also is staying nicely for short periods of time.  Finley is so curious about the outside world and all the sights, sounds and smells that we have had to work on “look at me” but that is coming nicely and really works to gain her attention.

We are blessed to have lots of kids in the neighborhood for Finley to play with.  She is always so excited to see them and plays nicely with very little jumping.  I included the attached picture so you could see that she has been very well behaved around some very temping items.  We still have to work her a lot on the mouthing, most of the time a firm uh-uh and a suspension of play is enough to keep her in line.  She has become quite fond of the skirt of one red chair, she knows better but just can’t help herself.  With patience and persistence this too will pass.

He vet check and first round of shots where fine.  Puppy school begins July 1st  and intermediate training scheduled for the first of September.
