Dexter - Ina/Silas 2016

Dexter has transitioned quite easily to our household. He is getting along well with our older dogs and hasn't hesitated one bit to be part of the family. He loves to play with our 6 year old bird dog, Sam. They chase each other endlessly. Hopefully the video above works for you. He is learning to get used to a leash. We walk him daily, sometimes twice a day if he is lucky. Right now just doing short walks, in hopes of building up to hikes with our GSP, Sam this spring. We will introduce him to water at that time too.

Dexter joined me for our Easter celebration in Des Moines. There were about 25 ppl there, of all ages. He did absolutely wonderful. He couldn't have been any better. He was quiet and patient and calm the entire day. Played well with the kids, no accidents, and quietly waited in the kennel until dinner with was over.

We start obedience class tonight. It is 8 weeks long and we will be joined by 12 German shepherd puppies. Excited to learn with him and see how far we go.

I can't believe how much he has grown! He's almost 25 pounds already! Can't thank you and your crew enough for the wonderful and bright dog you have given us. He is a treasure and has won my heart over and over again.
