Seasons Greetings from Cooper and his Family.
I can not possibly express to you how much I (we) love him! He is simply amazing! (sod pulling and all)
Coopers philosophy on life is: smarter, not harder whether it is work or play it doesn't matter he will find the best way to use the least amount of energy.. taking a shortcut while playing chase, finding something to step on so he doesn't need to jump on to the couch, and if nothing is available he'll give you the most pathetic look so you can't resist helping him up. Now that I think about I'm not sure if I have ever seen him jump up onto anything .
He loves going for walks, playing with his brother max and is absolutely loving puppy class. He LOVES food and will do anything just about anything for a treat.
We are looking forward to seeing if he loves the snow ( but we are not in a hurry)
Until next time
Hi Stephanie and Rhonda,
Just a little shout out to let you know that Blue is just the sweetest little guy. Well, not so little anymore. We have a vet visit this afternoon and I am expecting that he will be close to 30 pounds in weight.
We are working through him being a bit reserved about new things and places. Trying to expose him to as many things as possible. We started puppy class last week and when it came to play time he wanted nothing to do with the other dogs but the trainer said with it being his first week it wasn't uncommon. After seeing how gregarious some of the other puppies were, we were yet again appreciative of all that you do in working to choose the right puppy for the adoptive families. So far he seems to be perfect fit for us.
We asked you for a laid back dog and he certainly is that. As a matter of fact, the only thing we have had to correct him on behavior wise is he can be bit growly and even raise his lip if you hug him when he is tired. His lower than normal prey drive that you found in testing has certainly helped our 15 year old cat to survive these past five weeks. Blue tries to engage him but never chases or terrorizes him.
Although we have no kids, there are young children in the neighborhood. He absolutely lights up when he sees them. He is gentle and no mouthing at all when he is around them. I am certain that the exposure to all those Snitker/Kelley little ones helped him with those skills.
In a nutshell, we simply couldn't love him more. Thank you again so much for allowing ours to be his forever home.
We are very pleased with our experience with Snitker Goldens in adopting our new puppy, Roxy. From the first time we contacted them expressing our interest in adopting to the day we picked Roxy up everything went smoothly. They valued our input in determining through their imprinting program which puppy would be best suited for our family. You can certainly sense the love and dedication this family has for all of their Goldens!
Our 4 year old daughter was very fearful of dogs a couple of years ago and it was through the help of a neighbor's golden retriever that she overcame her fear. Golden retrievers are so wonderful with children with their gentle and fun loving nature and we have certainly seen this with Roxy's interaction with both our children. We are extremely happy to have her as part of our family and look forward to taking her out boating next summer!
Thank you for everything-

We just wanted to send you a little update and let you know how our little guy is doing.
First, I'd like to say the booklet you sent us home with was fantastic! It is packed full of info and a HOW TO training guide that is working great!
Cooper has been home for 2 weeks now and is growing like a weed, we have already had to readjust his collar. He is quickly becoming friends with every member of our house, he is so easy going even the cats like having him around, as much as a cat can like anyone but themselves that is. Potty training is going well too, he only had a few missed potty breaks in the beginning. I think he liked the super plushy feel of my rug, I can't say I blame him it is really comfy. It has since been removed until he's got it 100%. We also took an old leash and hung some bells from our back door that we ring every time we go out. I'm proud to say he has successfully went to the door and rang them himself a few times, were getting there! Until then I'll just keep giving him lots of opportunities to go out. He is a wonderful pup, but he can be a bit of a drama queen, he's loves going outside to do his business and for play time..... Unless it's hot. He will come running when we ring the bell but once he feels the heat of midday greeting him he stops quickly, backs up and looks at us as if he were sayin "um, no thanks" on the plus side though he doesn't mess around and gets his business done quickly. Can't wait to see how he likes the snow!
We knew from the moment we met Cooper that he was a great fit for our family. You did a wonderful job matching his personality to ours. Thanks!
Thank you for all of the extra care you put into raising your pups. It really shows!!
In starting our search for a breeder, some 4 months ago, we wanted a Golden Retriever breeder that would help us find the right girl for our house. When we found Snitker Goldens' temperament testing and imprinting program it worked wonderfully for us. We loved getting the updates and being able to see the progress of the litter as they grew until our Livi was ready to come home. Livi at one month old has been a perfect addition to our family. We wanted a gentle girl who could get along with our other dog. Livi immediately fit right in with our busy family. Her gentle nature has made it easy working with her. Our kids love her and she is learning new positive behaviors very quickly in her puppy classes. She really is the star of her class! Livi loves to sit by us and rest right by our side. We are really pleased with how things went Snitker Goldens and most of all, getting a puppy with a wonderful temperament. Livi is exactly what we hoped for in a Golden. Thanks for a great breeding program!!

We just wanted to say thank you to Rhonda and Stephanie! We have had our Georgie for one week and she has already become a part of our family. You picked the perfect pup for us! She does so well in our active house of 5 young children. She isn't fearful of the different noises around our house. She is playful with the kids and our 2 year old golden. She wishes the cat would play with her too:) After she has had fun she settles right down for some cuddles. In fact she melts in our arms. She soaks up the love and returns it with grunts and kisses. We can tell that Georgie had been handled a lot as a puppy. Imprinting, what a wonderful thing you do at Snitker Goldens!
Thank you for welcoming us into your home when we picked her up. Sitting down with you and getting all of the puppy information was so helpful. Thank you for taking time to answer all of our questions. We also love the bag of goodies you send home, especially the blanket. Georgie really loves it and sleeps with it everynight. What a wonderful idea of sending that with the pups. It had to be so comforting to have her first homes scent on it.
Thank you for the opportunity to adopt a Snitker Golden! We love our Georgie!

We always knew after we adopted our first Golden we named Chance from Snitker Goldens that we wanted another. Specifically from sweet Elise. Timing and life made this happen a bit later than we hoped. Four years later we just brought Chances sweet little sister home, Clara. As you can see by this picture they immediately showed love for each other. Chance showing his gentle spirit and patience with his new little sister made it all worth the wait. They adore each other and while she has been here only a few days she already sits, shakes and follows her brother out for potty time. Chance and our new addition Clara are absolutely a direct result of all the work your family puts into your puppies. Unbelievably happy we all are. Completely grateful for both of them.
Thank you for all you do. The Trainors
Dear Rhonda and Stephanie!
There are no words to say thank you for all you put in to these precious Snitker Golden babies!
We brought our sweet Dickens home to Texas this week. The care and imprinting and time and love that you put in to these puppies pays off for the new families in unbelievable ways!
On Monday, Our little man, at 8 weeks old, left the security of your beautiful dairy farm and all of you, his siblings, his parents, the beautiful facilities you have, and got in a car with us. Two strangers. We drove over to Wisconsin and he was a perfect angel in the car. We arrived at our very pet friendly hotel to be greeted with so many happy faces when they took one look at our handsome boy. He went with me for a short walk on his very lightweight leash (important) and pranced right in to the park and immediately did everything he was supposed to do! We took him to our hotel room where we had tons of toys that we brought for him to play with, and he did. He played and played, never showing any stress or upset thanks to the imprinting I'm sure! He ate supper. Went out again. Played some more, went out just before bed then crawled on his own, onto his little bed and went straight to sleep. I checked on him all through the night and he slept soundly and no accidents!
We got up early to catch a flight to Chicago then Texas. He happily bounded along through the hotel with me and we were greeted by a beautiful blanket of snow! He went right out, did his business and then we warned up and headed out.
He slept all the way on two flights and was the rock star of the airports!
Since arriving home in Texas, he has followed the very same patterns. He and our two older goldens are warming up to each other and he is totally enthusiastic about every detail of his new life! He has had a couple of accidents but both times it was our fault not his! He tried to tell us and we thought he was just being cute! Once I was preoccupied after he drank a lot of water and didn't take him out quickly enough!
He already comes when we say his name! Such a smart boy. He's loving, VERY inquisitive as you told us, and just all around perfect. I don't don't if we will ever stop smiling. We love him and we are so very grateful for this precious gift from God via Snitker Goldens!
In less than a week now, he will make another journey with us and our other dogs and cats! This time a two day trip by car to our second home in NC. We will be there until fall so he will have more new experiences all the time.
Our vet is also in love with him and says we have a real jewel!
THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!
All our love,
Billie, Carolanne, Luna, Samantha and DICKENS Hanks!
It’s so nice to hear from you. As you might have anticipated, Finn is not fearful of much.
He remains the puppy who just thoughtfully waits (except when doing spins before his food bowl goes down). He usually just sits and watches and thinks about the new things he is presented. When we had our day and night of thunderstorms this week, he just cocked his head and listended to the thunder. Slept through when his humans didn’t!
He is sweet and loving to everyone and loves other dogs - even when they don’t love him. He is a dog being raised by his village so to speak - spends play dates at neighbors’ houses with their dogs. A happy boy who loves to be outside…now snoring from a day of walks, play and warm weather!
My best to you and Rhonda
We wanted to give you an update on Mr Orange (aka Hansel Ellis). He's been an absolutely incredible puppy! He's loving, intelligent, and very patient with our 3-year old daughter. He loves all the snow we've had in Chicago, loves playing with other dogs, and is the star pupil in his puppy class.
Thank you so much for everything! Sorry we've been so tardy in updating you on his progress...I guess we've just been having too much fun with Hansel to sit down and actually write it down!!
