Blue - Vivian/Marsi 2016

Hi Stephanie and Rhonda,

 Just a little shout out to let you know that Blue is just the sweetest little guy. Well, not so little anymore. We have a vet visit this afternoon and I am expecting that he will be close to 30 pounds in weight.

 We are working through him being a bit reserved about new things and places. Trying to expose him to as many things as possible. We started puppy class last week and when it came to play time he wanted nothing to do with the other dogs but the trainer said with it being his first week it wasn't uncommon. After seeing how gregarious some of the other puppies were, we were yet again appreciative of all that you do in working to choose the right puppy for the adoptive families. So far he seems to be perfect fit for us.

We asked you for a laid back dog and he certainly is that.  As a matter of fact, the only thing we have had to correct him on behavior wise is he can be bit growly and even raise his lip if you hug him when he is tired. His lower than normal prey drive that you found in testing has certainly helped our 15 year old cat to survive these past five weeks. Blue tries to engage him but never chases or terrorizes him.

Although we have no kids, there are young children in the neighborhood. He absolutely lights up when he sees them. He is gentle and no mouthing at all when he is around them. I am certain that the exposure to all those Snitker/Kelley little ones helped him with those skills.

In a nutshell, we simply couldn't love him more. Thank you again so much for allowing ours to be his forever home.
