A gift that keeps on giving - Champ - Ina/Silas 2015

Gifted by patient families, Champ was a retirement gift for a very special pediatric oncologist . . . one whom I knew, personally, for he treated one of our sons for childhood cancer.   Dr. B was always loving and kind to all who knew him as their caregiver.  He gave unselfishly his time and his compassion, working to help any and all of the children and their families.   So upon Dr. B's retirement, the families wanted to do something to show their gratitude.  A plan was made by the families to give him a Golden Retriever puppy with training, for Dr. B loves dogs. 

What better pairing than our Silas with Ina.  Some of the most loving and gentle souls I've ever paired together.  And this legacy continues to live on through these very special Golden kids.  Champ is one of those sweet souls.  Dr. B expressed that "he'd never had a dog so compassionate and loving.  Not an angry bone in him."  And that is classic Silas offspring - one of the dearest canine souls I've ever known, my Silas.

It warms my heart to know that Dr. B's life is being enriched by someone so special as his Champ.  And all of us families hope, that in some small way, this returns the love and appreciation we all felt for him, for his years of serving our families when we were in such great need.  Thank you, Dr. B!  And we're so happy to know you're being loved on by Champ!
