Handler Extraordinaire - Spotlight on Nadia puppies!

It's a big job. . . and someone has to do it!  G loves to help when it's time to come to the puppy barn. Here, G is learning about alertness, and how that might look on a mamma dog who is watching over her puppies.  G learned about how to comfort the mamma when one of the babies is being worked with by a puppy handler. . . first, G talked sweetly to Nadia, pet her, and assured her it's all okay; and two, G held out the puppy for a moment so that Nadia could smell and lick her baby -  and then G gently put the baby back in the her own lap.  This may seem elementary, but it's a big deal!  Our movements and handling are one of the ways we communicate trust with our mammas and their puppies.  Great job, G!
