Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) exercises are a part of the early days for puppies here at Snitker Goldens. These exercises are based upon the “Bio Sensor” program developed by the U.S. Military to encourage dog performance in military measures (http://breedingbetterdogs.com). Here are four of the five movements we do with our young puppies (and yes, most of these are done while puppy eyes are still closed!) Exercises provide momentary stress (3-5 seconds) to help puppies learn to cope with stress and its effects.
Weights are also part of the daily routine. In this way we can monitor and assess puppy progress with growth.
And here is the proud Mamma with her first-ever litter. Mamma and pups are all doing great! :)
As you can see and imagine, our days are full when puppies are here! We're entering into a really active stage now where pups will begin to learn by leaps and bounds! So please be patient with our updates - we'll do the best we can to give you a peek into our everyday here and highlight the milestones with the litters! ~ rhonda
