This middle image is my tote-n-go. . . it's old. . . it's sentimental . . . I've used this wagon and crate given to me by my parents a long time ago. . . and it's pulled a vast number of puppy cargo over the years. We use it to travel around the home acreage. One of these days, I am going to think about something with real power and get a gator! These guys get heavy when they're in their final week with us!
We added the puppy door this past week. . . here's a peek at how it looks when pups are beginning to understand the wall moves. lol. Puppies have an enlarged play space and smaller chip area. This group is doing great on potty training and unsupervised play. Hooray!
The Elise pups saw their pen area change yet again. . . and they love the new half-door (so do we, for it helps us step over without losing puppies onto the living space!). Great job, Todd, for adding this feature a few seasons ago!
And here is what's on the other side of that puppy door . . . . (we're still under construction, but plan to have all in full form coming soon!) Typically this space is filled with a few larger toys and chew ropes, but for now, the puppies are enticed by ice and the metal panel (oh dear . . . )
Our first ride in the Jeep . . . the ladies at Copyland in Decorah, IA (they do our printing for us), had lots of "ooo's" and "ahhh's" seeing this boxful of new travelers. :) We will take our pups on a final ride this week to help them remember how it feels to ride in a vehicle. This has really cut back on tummy upsets when our puppies go home, as they have taken rides as a group and feel safer in their first experiences.
And playtime!! The puppies were introduced to the training room this past week. See what fun we had! and NO mistakes on the floor. . .they all sought out the potty pan during the long play period. :)
That last puppy has no chance . . . . my little helper is on her way to retrieve him!
Individual feedings began at six weeks. We try for two out of three feedings to be individual times with pups to monitor intake and get them accustomed to being touched during eating and being almost pestered with our fingers in their food. These pups are well on their way!
And finally. . . my last video to leave you with . . . it isn't long, but I was kept busy supervising this crew on their first romp outdoors in the back yard! I hope you enjoy it and have enjoyed this update! Days are very full now and correspondence will be minimal as we finish up this Elise litter and move our Bella and Ina litters through the same process. Can't wait to see you new owners soon! Happy puppy dreaming! :)
Why Snitker Goldens
We begin with quality tested and approved breeding Goldens and build on that solid foundation with our puppies. Championship pedigrees in their lines are our way of remaining true to breed standard. We strive to personally imprint each pup with positive, rewarding experiences – to nurture each one with love and care, realizing that each day we have your puppy is one day closer to the day you will hold him or her. We use this time to make that permanent impression on your pup, one which he or she will carry for a lifetime.
