Newly earned CGC Title with Rhonda

Hi Rhonda,

I hope you're having a wonderful and restful week and I hope Roxie is doing well!

I’ve attached the vet summary from Mila's recent checkup. Everyone at the clinic was so impressed by how calm and polite she was!

We've had such a great first week with her, and I wanted to share a few updates:

When we stopped at a hotel on our way home, the sliding glass doors startled her a little bit. While I was waiting for Brian to come back down so we could go through the side doors, a lovely lady stepped in and offered to help lure her through with some treats, which worked like a charm! By the third trip out of the hotel, Mila didn't even notice the doors.

We had quite a bit of rain here while we were gone. As soon as we got home, I took Mila to the backyard. To avoid some ants that had come to the surface from the rain, we went to the side yard, which looked like a swamp. Mila immediately sat down and got covered in mud. I was exhausted but still had to drop off some medicine at my mom's house, so I told Brian I would clean her up when I got back. When I returned, I commented the house smelled clean, and Brian surprised me by having already bathed her! He said she did great and that he felt confident enough to try it based on how well she had done with you.

Brian loves showing off Mila's picture at work and telling everyone about our trip. Whenever I ask if he now understands why we drove all the way to Iowa to get her, he agrees wholeheartedly!

I'll follow up soon with a few training questions once I organize my thoughts.
