Hello Stephanie and Rhonda!
I just wanted to check in with you and let you know how our little buddy Boomer is doing :)! (Mr. Orange from Maggie/Silas litter)
First of all, he is so sweet, and mellow. The effects of your imprinting are very noticeable to those who have met Boomer; they marvel at how calm he is for a puppy. Of course, he still has his bursts of energy when he books around the house and yard, but then he plunks down, exhausted!
He is still very tempted to nibble and chew, but the techniques you showed are working... He is much softer with his mouth now.
Potty training went well, It took him maybe just a week or so! He also sits nicely on command.
These are some things he likes:
He took his first swim over Memorial Day weekend! He loves the water.
There was another Cream Retriever up at the lake (the dog that sent me on the mission and found you!), and he went swimming with Milo!
Boomer had his 12 week checkup on Thursday. He is 22lbs :) and very handsome! (Of course) Our vet said he looks like he will be a big boy!
He loves meeting other dogs, but few have had the willingness to play at his level!
He really observes the big boys and tries to figure out what they are doing and how to play too!
We have been smothering him with love! And he is so sweet and good!
We will keep you updated!
Sometimes Morgan WHINES by the bathtub if he wants a bath!!
Morgan is growing to be a very good dog! And clean! :) He goes to puppy obedience class and puppy socialization class and loves them both. Except sometimes he thinks obedience class is socialization class! He also LOVES kids- anytime he sees kids, he SITS so that their parents will let their kids come pet them!
...He is so adorable and has quite a personality! And he is VERY smart!
Take care, we think of the Snitkers often,
Rhonda and Stephanie,
This is Morgan in his hammock.
He LOVES this thing! He likes to sit out here in the morning and listen to all the birds! I debated buying this, but it turned out to be something Morgan uses everyday, and I think it will b great for him when the summer gets hot and humid. Really, I don't think this guy could b any cuter!
Hope you are all doing well!
Oh we are so blessed to have our Morgan.
Emma and Finley are full sisters, almost a year old. Lulu is just a little mighty mite from this season's Maggie litter. All three of these gals are Snitker Golden Girls! and all three had some time to meet, greet, and play together recently. . . here. . . let's see! . . . . . .
From Emma's Family -
I have to tell you that Emma and Lily love to play together. Emma tries to make herself "small and calm" by laying down flat on the ground to play with Lily, but then Emma gets way too excited and starts running around. It is very cute and Emma is gentle with her. Callie just loves cuddling with "little Lily" as she calls her, and Ben is still "thinking about" if Lily will really get as big as Emma! Emma and Finley will have another reunion over Memorial Day weekend, so that should be fun to watch!
We also found out that Emma loves to help with yard work. A tree of ours did not make it through the cold winter, and Emma was more than willing to help remove any roots that we left. Also, Ben had to bring in an item to school for math class that was used for measuring. The ONLY item in our house that would do (according to Ben) was Emma's measuring scoop we use for her food. It was way too cute to see how proud he was to share it!
As you can see, we are having way too much fun enjoying our first spring with Emma. She is such a joy to have!
Thanks so much!
Dear Rhonda and Stephanie, and all the Snitkers,
We have been meaning to email you since we got home.
But we have been busy following this guy around!! :) He is active!
Well, we knew Mr. Red was smart when we laid eyes on him, and [below] you will see him helping our son, Chris, with his math homework! We named Mr. Red "Morgan," after the very special stuffed dog I had as a child.
Our new Morgan is SO ADORABLE and loves to snuggle. Also he loves exploring the outside, and we have all been taking turns going outside ALOT! Inside the house, he loves to wiggle up into cozy places or crevices, between cushions or pillows. So funny! Oh we love him so much!
Well, we wanted you to know that Mr. Red is doing very well, and we are so appreciative of our Snitker puppy. The work and love you put into raising these pups is clearly obvious! Thank you so much again for all your information and the time you spent with us.

Honestly, Rhonda, we were just marveling at how Morgan never fails to respond to "Here, pup!" Or an
"uh-uh-UH!" How in the world, with so many puppies, were you ever able to so firmly establish those commands in such a young pup?? I think your imprinting sets the foundation for the training that ensues when you get your puppy home. It has helped us start out on the right foot.
Stephanie...honestly, I have raised two Golden Girls and loved them both so much but the imprinting is incredible!! Lily was jumping on my legs this morning and so I did the Mama growl and she backed right down. She's a doll and I am in love!
Pictures of Miss Lily who had a fantastic first day at her new home! She already goes to the door when she has to go out! So smart and beautiful! We LOVE her!
